FANCY living like a lord if only for a couple of days?

Well now you have the chance – once restrictions ease – because Arley Hall has been refurbishing its stunning 'Chapel House' at the heart of the estate near Appleton Thorn.

Arley – home of Lord and Lady Ashbrook – has teamed up with Rural Retreats to offer up the property, next door to the Grade II* Salvin Chapel, for short term holiday accommodation.

Warrington Guardian:

Up to four people can stay in the 'beautifully renovated' two bedroom semi-detached cottage – including a super-king size bed – located within the grounds of the historic Arley Hall and its award-winning gardens.

Upon arrival, guests will be given a welcome hamper to enjoy while they unwind in luxury.

The open plan kitchen, dining and living room includes a Rayburn integrated coffee machine and steam oven and even a wine fridge.

Warrington Guardian:

If you go in the warmer months, you can grab a glass and head through the patio doors to enjoy a tipple in the rear garden.

But the experience does not come cheap. Prices start at £533 for two nights.

A spokesman for Arley said: "Over the last couple of months, we have been busy refurbishing one of our estate properties.

Warrington Guardian:

"The refurbishment is now complete and we are delighted to announce that Chapel House will be let for short term holiday accommodation through our rental partners Rural Retreats."

"The property has been decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard offering stunning accommodation for up to four guests."

The Rural Retreats listing added: The property has undergone extensive refurbishment, transforming the former estate workers' accommodation into a contemporary holiday home with a light and airy feel throughout.

Warrington Guardian:

"On the ground floor is a well-proportioned open-plan living area featuring a well-equipped, modern kitchen with Rayburn range cooker and central island unit with breakfast bar seating four.

"On the opposite end of the room is the incredibly comfortable sitting area with L-shaped sofa, smart TV and gas flame-effect fire.

"Situated in front of the bay window with French doors is a dining table seating four with lovely views on to the cottage's small lawn area.

"On the first floor are the cottage's two bedrooms, one with a super-king size bed and a second with a zip and link bed, offering flexible accommodation for families with children or two couples holidaying together.
