THE Warrington community has been pulling together to support those affected by the devastating Storm Christoph.
A major incident was declared in Cheshire on Wednesday and emergency services have been working around the clock with 100 people evacuated from Warrington homes since then.
But also providing a lifeline in terms of food parcels and other help are groups such as the below. If you are providing food parcels and want to be listed, please send an email to david.morgan@nqnw.co.uk
King’s Church Warrington
The church community has put together food parcels and is donating them to people in need today, Friday.
From 9.30am until 2pm, they are available to collect from King’s Community Centre in Marina Avenue, Great Sankey.
From 3.30pm until 5pm, they will be at Sacred Heart Primary School in Fox Street, Whitecross.
Webb Security Systems
The security systems business in Princess Street, Great Sankey, handed out hot drinks to the emergency services yesterday.
It is now working with sandwich bars in the area to provide hot and cold lunches.
On Facebook, the team posted: “If you need our help, or know anyone that does, then please send us a message, advising of name, which hotel and any dietary requirements.
“Our amazing neighbours, Princess Street Garage, are currently accepting donations for home comfort hampers to include tea, coffee, blankets, slippers, soaps and anything else you feel may help at this time.
“If you are able to help then please contact them to arrange drop off.”
