WIRRAL has been chosen by the Ministry of Justice as one of 14 areas across the country to get support for people with housing and debt issues.
The support is planned to be available from April and will run for two years, with the possibility of extending it to 2025.
There is no limit on the number of organisations that can be involved in the work but deadlines for those wishing to apply is February 18.
Wallasey Councillor Paul Hayes said: "While many people across Wirral have been helped with the extra support available during the pandemic, we know that for those who are the hardest hit, extra support is vital to help those who are really struggling with debt or housing problems.
"I hope that organisations in Wallasey and across Wirral, regardless of their size, will consider applying to take part to deliver this additional support."
The work is being managed by the Legal Aid Agency to help people deal with legal issues arising from debt or housing problems.
Organisations can bid to deliver housing and debt services in Wirral through either an in-person, face to face service delivered from an office that is a permanent presence in the Borough or a digital service delivered via a video technology platform, from an office that is a permanent presence anywhere in England and Wales.
