ST HELENS University Challenge contestant Joshua Mutio was back on television screens last night as his team appeared in the quarter finals.
Joshua's team from Birkbeck, University of London, made a second appearance on the show in seven days as they took part in a competitive contest with Magdalene College, Cambridge.
The match stood at 140-140 before a late surge saw Magdalene claim 100 unanswered points to claim victory.
During the contest, Joshua correctly identified a piece of jazz music as from John Coltrane and gave a correct answer as he identified a description of the rational class of numbers from a starter question.
Joshua is studying for a Masters in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

His team had beaten Reading 295-60 in the first round in August, which saw Joshua become a popular contestant among television audiences on social media, with his appearance even gaining attention in the national press.
Last week Birkbeck were seen beating The Open University 205-95 in the second round.
The defeat last night means Birkbeck need to win their next two matches to proceed to the semi-finals.
