BUSINESSES across Wirral have secured funding to help introduce digital tools and support with new technologies.

The investment into Wirral manufacturers is supported by Made Smarter who are offering intensive support to help businesses through digital transformation workshops and projects.

The workshops will help businesses with technology, skills, advice, and leadership alongside creating more than 50 jobs across the region.

Noel Doyle, Technical Director for Organica UK, a cleaning product manufacturer based in Birkenhead, said: "With the support and advice of Made Smarter we have been able to invest in a data and systems and integration projects.

"It will enable us to monitor the performance of our production lines in real time from anywhere and to optimise our productivity to achieve the best possible yield."

There are 53 businesses in Wirral who have received support which has helped them to introduce digital tools and technologies to boost productivity and growth.

Birkenhead-based Openhouse Products and Parity Medical as well as Wallasey based Organica (UK) Ltd are some of the manufacturers who already have received support and are taking the next steps in their digital journey.

Heswall based, Sandstone and Birkenhead based, Generation Juice are the latest manufacturers to secure funding for technology projects.

The projects are expected to deliver £5.4M for the Wirral economy over the next three years, create 53 new jobs and upskill 81 existing roles.
