Christmas has come early to residents across Wirral with many digging out their decorations to celebrate the festive season already - and we want to see your photos.

With 2020 being a tough year for many, people across the borough have been helping to raise local spirits by making all things merry and bright.

A couple of weeks ago, neighbours gathered on Templemore Road in Oxton to turn on their eagerly anticipated annual Christmas light display.

The group have put the annual event to good use this year, using the lights to participate in Wirral Hospice' Christmas Lights Trail fundraiser.

Joining the spirits of Oxton, the enthusiastic residents of Broadway Avenue in Wallasey have also been one of the many streets getting involved.

One upbeat Wallasey resident, Paul Kendrick, said: “After a dismal year the residents of Broadway Avenue in Wallasey wanted to bring a little bit of happiness. The whole road is bedecked in lights. Gardens, houses, telegraph poles and trees are all alight!”

If you and your neighbours are going all out on Christmas lights this year, send us your pictures for a chance to be featured in the Globe.
