FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a fire at a property in a village near Chester.
The blaze shortly after 11.20pm last night (Monday, November 30) at Quarry Hill, Farndon, involved a washer/dryer in the kitchen.
Two firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The crews from Malpas and Chester then removed the appliance from the address and used a large fan to clear the smoke from the building
Firefighters remained at the scene for about an hour.
