Mandi told the Globe: "I am determined to bring comfort to people with this song and inspire people not to give up to keep going.

"We have suffered but we can't give up now.

"The world won't be this way forever we have to keep trying and never ever ever give up.

"I'm doing this to spread positivity and love."

"My dad's wish was for the world to hear his daughter sing."

Recalling her family's fight with Covid and paying tribute to her father, Mandi continued: "I cared for my father with my brother at home so we both caught it.

"I ended up in hospital and had pneumonia, but I beat the virus.

"Sadly my dad battled for three weeks and passed away.

"He battled for three weeks and fought so hard right until the end.

"He was a strong man and he dedicated his life to his family and my music and my kids."

She said: "I feel like everything right now is all so scary for everyone and everything we see in the news is so unsettling and worrying.

"I know so so many people are going through really bad bouts of anxiety and depression right now.

"So I started to write words down and made them into a song which I posted online.

"The video then went viral. Also a video of me singing to my dad for the very last time on end of life went viral too around the same time shared that moment because everything to do with my music we shared together online we shared the very first moments singing to my dad to the very last."

She continued: "Sections of the video were shot in the care home and that was a big part of it for me.

"Our residents have not seen relatives in months now due to the restrictions in place.

"I wanted to celebrate them and let their loved ones see them.

"At the end of my shifts I know I am going home to my family but our residents can't see their loves ones.

"It breaks my heart seeing our beautiful residents not being able to see family due to the pandemic.

"That's another reason why I was so keen to feature them so there loved ones can watch from home and see they are ok and happy."

The video shows Mandi singing on St George's plateau in Liverpool city centre.

Mandi said: "The song has been climbing on Amazon and iTunes and had received a positive reception so far.

"Each download costs 99p and the money that comes in will go back out to the community."
