A NURSERY in Liscard has raised £1,300 for Children in Need this week.

Daisy Day Nursery have been holding events across the week to raise money for the national children's charity.

Staff, parents, and children have all been getting involved by taking part in events across the week to help raise money.

Teacher at Daisy Day Nursery, Jake Harvey said: “This year for Children in Need we wanted to go all out and raise as much money as we could for this amazing cause. It’s been a difficult year for everyone and we wanted to brighten the lives of children who need it the most.”

Kids and their families have taken part in sponsored park walks, room-to-room bake-offs, and Friday fancy dress day.

Jake said: “The children have been so excited! They are all very proud of what they have achieved this week. This is an amazing charity that is all very close to our hearts.”

Between them, Daisy Day nursery has managed to raise an amazing £1,300 for Children in Need this week. One of the parents who daughter attends Daisy Day said: “I joined the nursery on the walk with the children and they all had an amazing time, my daughter loved doing it with her friends.

"You could see all the children were made up when they were presented with a medal at the end of the walk! All the staff at Daisy Day nursery have been amazing throughout this week raising money for Children in Need, by doing a sponsored walk and selling cakes and dressing up.
