A MICRO pub in Ellesmere which has applied for an extension to its pavement licence says it is to give customers more enjoyment within the government's Covid-19 restrictions.
The Vault, in the Old Town Hall in High Street, has applied for the extension of its pavement permit in order to allow people to eat with drinks.
Paul Brown, from the pub, says the move is to encourage 'Conmtinental-style' visits to Ellesmere while working with the restrictions placed on them.
"When re opening, we have upheld all government guidelines to use outdoor space," he said. "We already have a three-month pavement licence granted to help with outside eating/drinking.
"It has been very popular with both the Vault customers and also visitors to the town enjoying refreshments from other businesses, sweets/chips etc, while enjoying a cold drink or snack in the sun.
"We have decided to extend the licence, as with the current climate it gives people the opportunity to enjoy our outside space with staff applying table service.
"As an extra, we have constructed outdoor seating in the rear beer garden which consists of individual booths with heaters to encourage outside hospitality, which also covers government guidelines."
