A ROAD was closed in Runcorn this afternoon after emergency services were called over reports of a man on a bridge.
At around 3.20pm today, Monday, police were called to a bridge on the A558 Daresbury Expressway following reports of the concern for the safety of a man on the bridge.
The road was closed while officers dealt with the emergency between Windmill Avenue North and Castlefields.
Officers and paramedics attended,
Police spoke with the man who then left in an ambulance shortly before 5pm.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At 3.18pm today police were called to a bridge on the Expressway following reports of the concern for the safety of a man on the bridge.
"Officers and paramedics attended the scene and officers spoke with the man who then left in an ambulance shortly before 5pm."
