Today marks World Polio Day and West Kirby bars The Wro and The Blind Pig have joined forces with West Kirby Rotary Club to raise awareness.
To recognise the importance of day, The Wro Bar Loft will be lit up purple on Saturday (October 24) and will remain lit for the rest of the week.
The Blind Pig have created a purple cocktail called ‘Chartini’ which is described as a ‘delicious cocktail made from pomegranate, Peach Schnapps and raspberry vodka. Slightly sparkling and not too sweet’.

You can also find an End Polio plaque on Rotary Corner in West Kirby, which The Rotary Club has sponsored, along with a flower bed of purple flowers which have been tendered by West Kirby in Bloom to help raise awareness.
