Three more coronavirus deaths in Wirral hospitals have been reported today, as figures rise sharply across the North West and the rest of England.
The fatalities, which occurred on October 14, 18 and 19 take the total number of patients who have died with Covid-19 at Wirral University Teaching Hospital to 262.
The situation across the North West makes no better reading, with 57 deaths confirmed today.
Nationally, a further 134 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 31,181.
Patients were aged between 36 and 100 years old. All except six (aged 68-91) had known underlying health conditions.
Date of death ranges from October 13 to 19 2020. Their families have been informed.
