RESIDENTS and staff at a Wirral care home held a charity coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

They took part in a number of activities with friends within the home and staff during the event at Caldy Manor on Friday.

Activities included listening to music and playing games.

Resident Sheena Elder won a bottle of Prosecco for guessing the number of sprinkles on the top of Colin the caterpillar cake.

The day raised £50 for Macmillan.

Hannah Roberts, general manager at Caldy Manor Care Home, said: "Holding our Macmillan coffee morning has been a huge amount of fun and everyone at the home is always keen to support this fantastic charity in any way we can.

"We are very glad to be able to do our bit to raise further awareness and money for the charity."

Caldy Manor, run by Barchester Healthcare, provides residential care, respite care and dementia care.
