TWO teenagers have been arrested in connection with a gang attack at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet which left a 14-year-old Ellesmere Port boy seriously injured.
The incident happened at 6.15pm on Friday, September 4, and reportedly left the victim – who had to undergo surgery – with a broken nose and leg.
Two boys, aged 17 and 14, from Flintshire, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and are currently being questioned by officers.
The 14-year-old victim has since been discharged from hospital.
A Cheshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "Shortly after 8.30pm on Friday 4 September police received a report of a boy having been assaulted at a retail outlet in Ellesmere Port.
"The incident – which involved a group of young people and occurred earlier that night, at around 6.15pm – left the 14-year-old local boy with serious injuries.
"He was taken to hospital to be treated. The boy has since been discharged.
"Two teenagers from Flintshire in North Wales have been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident.
"The boys, aged 17 and 14, are currently in custody being questioned by officers.
"Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing."
