The Wirral author of a best-selling book has announced the pending release of her latest novel.

Caroline Corcoran's debut, 'Through the wall' proved so popular that it has been translated into multiple languages and her brand new follow-up is described as 'a gripping new crime thriller with a twist you won’t see coming'.

Released on September 17, 'The Baby Group' tells the story of how Scarlett’s golden life suddenly unravels when someone sends a shocking video of her to everyone she knows.

The only people who claim they haven’t seen it are the friends in her new mothers’ group: Cora, Emma and Asha.

Scarlett is forced to delve into her past to discover who is out to get her. But as her circle of trust gathers around her, she has to ask – are her friends as innocent as they seem?

The book is a gripping read about motherhood, secrets and lies - perfect for fans of Heidi Perks and B.A. Paris.

Wirral Globe:

Caroline is a freelance lifestyle and popular culture writer and editor with 15 years’ experience, who has worked for most of the top magazines, newspapers and websites in the country.

After 14 years in London, the 39-year-old recently returned up north to live in Neston with her new born baby, taking advantage of free grandparent babysitting availability.

Caroline told the Globe: “The Baby Group - which is set in Cheshire - was written when I was on maternity leave with my second child and I thought that that time of life was a rich field for a novel, with quick but intense friendships being formed and a lot of insecurities around your new identity that may make your judgements a bit less sound than usual.

"There’s some dark humour in there too though, which is something I always like to incorporate in my books.”

Caroline can often be found feeling travel sick but still trying to write on a Virgin Pendolino into Euston.

'The Baby Group' is available to pre-order in paperback or eBook or audio formats here.
