WHEN Amber Prothero needed a location for her new music video, the choice was obvious.

West Kirby beach provides the backdrop for Won't Let This Love Go.

Amber, 23, grew up in Chester, but has always spent time with family and friends in Liverpool and Wirral, which is why she chose to film the video - directed and produced by another prolific local artist Dan Sloan - on West Kirby Beach.

Amber told the Globe: "I couldn't imagine filming the video anywhere else.

"My hometown has shaped me as an artist and what better way to show who I am than filming this project in a place that’s always been so important to me."

Amber studied Modern Languages at the University of Bristol and is now based back in Chester and had been gigging full time until the pandemic began.
