THERE is still time to buy tickets for a night at the drive-in movies in aid of Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.
'Movies At The Manor' - being held at beautiful Thornton Manor Estate next week - is the charity’s first ever drive-in cinema experience.
It promises something on offer for everyone, while raising cash for local people with cancer.
Tickets are available for this Wednesday evening's screenings of Back To The Future, Dirty Dancing and Alien.
Head of Charity, Katrina Bury said: "At a time when our charity events have been heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, we wanted to bring something new, socially distanced and fun to our fundraising calendar.
"Not only will it raise vital funds to support the work of The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, but it’ll give supporters a unique experience set against the stunning backdrop of Thornton Manor.
"We want to thank our event sponsors Thornton Manor Estate, Regatta, The Clatterbridge Private Clinic and Mitchell Mazda for making Movies at the Manor possible."
Supporters of the Charity have been incredibly enthusiastic about the event.
One such supporter, Carl Horrobin, said: "Clatterbridge is a charity very close to my heart, and it will be great to support it whilst attending a drive in movie in such a great location.
"It is a new experience for all of us, and the kids will love it.
"We are going to see Moana, by order of my six-year-old daughter! One of her favourites!"
Commenting on the event, Brian Blanchard, Mazda brand manager at the Mitchell Group, said: "We’re really looking forward to hosting our first ever drive-in cinema experience with such a fantastic charity.
"We really appreciate the hard work The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity does for the community, and the drive-in cinema is the perfect social distancing format for our local community to still go out and enjoy themselves in such an unprecedented time.
"Audio from the drive-in cinema is played through an FM radio frequency, so for our local customers and Mazda fans, the drive-in cinema perfectly complements the standard high quality Mazda audio and premium Bose 12-speaker surround sound systems equipped in our fantastic vehicles and will offer drivers a true unique cinematic experience.”
