THE slip road taking drivers from the westbound M56 to the northbound M53 at the Stoak Interchange has now reopened, almost 24 hours since it closed following an accident.
A lorry hit a bridge on the slip road and overturned before 6.50pm on Saturday, August 8.
The driver was released from the lorry by firefighters and sent to hospital by ambulance with slight injuries.
The road was closed for vehicle recovery and for bridge repairs to be carried out.
Highways England confirmed the road had reopened after 6pm on Sunday, August 9.
A diversion had been in place, taking motorists down the M53 southbound to junction 12 at Chester and back up the M53 from the roundabout.
Fire crews also dealt with fuel which had leaked from the vehicle.
