TWO men have been charged with murdering a 33-year-old who died following a street attack.

Warren Glover, 33, was assaulted at around 10.15pm on Saturday, June 13 in French Street at its junction with Thompson Street in Toll Bar.

He was taken to hospital with serious head injuries and after being in a critical condition he died on Tuesday, July 7.

Peter Walker, 30, of Garth Road, Manchester and Aaron Stubbs, 30, of Lane End Road, Manchester have been charged with murder.

Both have been remanded in custody.

Walker appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court yesterday (Monday, July 13) and was further remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on August 10.

Stubbs is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court today (Tuesday, July 14).

A 28-year-old woman from Manchester and a 41-year-old man from Stockport, previously arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent, were released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

A 54-year-old woman was also interviewed under caution last week (Friday, July 9) in connection with the incident, and remains under investigation.
