THE rest of Warrington's drive-thru McDonald's have reopened today, Wednesday.
The fast food giant said the restaurants at Gemini, Birchwood, Winwick Road and Riverside Retail Park will be open from 11am until 10pm.
It follows the opening of the McDonald's at Poplar 2000 services in Lymm on Tuesday.
That saw long queues as cars rushed to get food after a closure of more than two months during the pandemic.
There will be a more limited menu than usual and people are asked to choose their food on the app before arriving.
McDonald's says it is working closely with local authorities and police, and may determine that it is necessary to close drive-thru lanes if queues cause disruption at busier sites or put employees or customers at risk.
There will also be social distancing in the kicthens, Perspex screens at drive-thru windows, employees wearing protective equipment and contactless thermometres to take employees' temperatures on arrival for every shift.
1/2. Tomorrow Morning at 11am we will be opening all our Drive Thrus in Warrington, until 10pm. We might not be as quick as usual, but we will be doing our very best. #Warrington #McDonalds #ItsTime pic.twitter.com/msyd1icC6T
