A Wirral DIY superstore has closed immediately after it emerged that a member of staff has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Globe understands that B&Q on Link Road in Bidston was shut this afternoon, with shoppers told to leave the premises on the spot.
A B&Q spokesperson told the Globe: "We can confirm that our Wallasey store is temporarily closed following a team member receiving a positive (Covid 19) test result.
"Closing the store for deep cleaning is a precautionary measure and goes beyond government advice."
The store hopes to reopen tomorrow.
