One further coronavirus death has been recorded in Wirral, NHS England has confirmed.
The fatality, which occurred on May 30 takes the total number of Covid-19 deaths at Wirral University Teaching Hospital to 217.
A further 108 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 26,722.
Patients were aged between 29 and 99 years old. 16 of the 108 patients (aged between 48 and 94) had no known underlying health condition.
The North West was once again the worst-hit area of the country today, accounting for 30 of the recorded deaths.
