A 68-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with assault after allegedly spitting at a keyworker who was travelling home from a hospital shift.
British Transport Police officers were called to the alleged incident at Hooton railway station at 5.12pm on Wednesday, May 27.
A spokesperson for the force said: "John Christian, 68, of Higher Bebington in Wirral, has been charged with assault.
"He is due to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on June 26."
