A CHESTER church has been hard at work delivering scores of food hampers to those in need.

!Audacious Church in Sovereign Way may have had to close its physical doors to worshippers as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, but it has opened up its arms to the community by partnering with Audacious Foundation to provide essential food hampers for those in need.

Through generous giving from the Church and local grants so far they been able to provide nearly 200 hampers, with great volunteers providing their time and effort to deliver them.

The !Audacious Church Covid-19 Response Fund has three goals – food, friends and finance.

As well as delivering the food hampers, which also contain essential items, volunteers are available to be a listening ear and provide advice and support to the vulnerable.

They're also available to signpost people to the right agencies and processes when it comes to getting help with finances.

Anyone who would like to help the church's efforts is invited to visit audac.us/help and fill in the details.

The church is holding services online every Sunday at 10am, noon and 5.30pm. Visit www.audaciouschurch.com for details.
