THE number of deaths from coronavirus in Wirral hospitals remains at 129 - although the national figure has risen by almost 800.
As it stands there have been no recorded deaths by Wirral University Teaching Hospital - which runs Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals - in the last 48 hours after 25 consecutive days of recorded Covid-19 deaths in the Trust.
NHS confirmed however that, nationally, a further 778 people, who tested positive for coronavirus have passed away, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 15,607.
A spokesperson said the patients were aged between 22 and 103 years old; 24 of the 778 patients (aged between 49 and 91 years old) had no known underlying health condition.
Their families have been informed.
