Inspirational workers at a Wirral Hospital were treated to an amazing morale-boosting tribute from fellow emergency services this evening.
In emotional scenes, Police and Fire Services saluted staff at Arrowe Park hospital at 8pm by sounding horns and flashing lights outside the main entrance, to the delight of staff who had assembled outside the building.
Police officers and firefighters held 'Thank You' cards up in solidarity with their health colleagues who continue to put their own health at risk by caring for patients battling against coronavirus.
Wirral residents have been out in their streets across the borough again too, clapping for carers in their thousands.
On Wednesday, the Globe launch the Covid-19 Support Fund in a joint appeal with Wirral University Teaching Hospital to help raise additional funds to support the health and wellbeing of staff and patients at Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals.
