A Wirral MP has lost her position in the shadow cabinet following a swift reshuffle by incoming Leader of the Opposition Sir Keir Starmer.
Margaret Greenwood was Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions under Jeremy Corbyn, but new Labour leader Mr Starmer has wasted no time introducing sweeping changes to his shadow cabinet.
The Wirral West MP will be replaced by Stalybridge and Hyde MP Jonathan Reynolds.
Mr Starmer's reshuffle has also seen the shadow cabinet departures of Walton MP Dan Carden and Bootle MP Peter Dowd, which means there is now no Merseyside representation in the shadow cabinet.
