A Wirral primary school has given their young pupils a lift by producing an upbeat video.

Teachers at Eastway Primary School in Moreton became aware that stuck at home children were beginning to miss their faces.

In response, staff have collaborated online to pull together a feel-good rendition of Queen's 'Don't stop me know', before sharing it with pupils and parents.

Headteacher Emily Morris said: "We have been recording bedtime stories for our children since we closed but they have wanted to see all of their teachers.

"The teachers were wanting to do more to let them and their families know that we are there for them and share some positivity.

"I decided to ask all staff to make a clip and send it to me and one of my teachers worked on putting it all together.

"It is just what my team needed at the moment as many are stuck at home feeling so helpless and wanting to do more.

"Many of our families are struggling so we thought this would be a nice thing to do. We will be having a virtual school disco today (Friday) and have asked families to film themselves joining in."
