How are your kids coping with staying at home? Doing their set school work? Driving you up the wall yet?

As the country tries to turn the tide on the coronavirus pandemic, we know this is a difficult time for everyone, especially children stuck at home who are missing their classmates.

Today the Globe is setting the kids of Wirral a challenge – build a den and get in the paper!

We are asking kids (and parents) to get their creativity flowing and build the best den that they can in their back gardens, yards or living rooms.

No one knows how long the lockdown will last so make it an extra special hideout!

Wirral Globe: You can make your den as simple or as complex as you like, just have fun doing it!You can make your den as simple or as complex as you like, just have fun doing it!

We will display all of your entries here in an online photo gallery and the best efforts (as chosen by our den-expert editorial team) will make it into print in next week’s paper!

There’s no need to leave your home to get materials to build your den, just bring your imagination to the party and use whatever you have at your disposal.

To enter our den competition, simply click on the button at the bottom of this article and follow the instructions to upload your photo.

Remember, this is just a bit of fun to help your children while they’re stuck at home, but extra points will be awarded for super creativity and making us laugh.

The competition will run across the weekend, with the best entries printed in the paper next Wednesday.

What are you waiting for? Roll up your sleeves and build that den!

Closing date is Monday, March 30 at 9am.
