READERS have been getting in touch with their memories of a lost Warrington pub.
The Horse and Jockey on the junction of Winwick Road and Kerfoot Street was demolished in the 1980s.
The town’s first McDonald’s drive-thru was built in its place.
Denise Gremmell good in touch with her memories of life behind the bar.
She said: “I remember working evenings behind the bar at the Horse and Jockey around 1980.
“Lovely old pub and many happy memories there.
“They had a brilliant lounge bar as well as the side bar and even a night club at weekends.
“Managers were Ken and Judy and the staff were great.
“Great customers and some regular local lads came in for a pint a chat and laugh.
“I remember Barry and also two brothers, one was a postie?”
