THE government-funded group which aims to give a voice to Blackburn with Darwen residents who use health services has joined a regional partnership which aims to boost its impact.
Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen has now joined Healthwatch Together.
The group will now work jointly on some key issues with other healthwatch organisations in what officials say will be a ground-breaking partnership.
Healthwatch organisations engage with members of the public to ensure their views are heard by health and social care decision-makers, the result being that local people are actively shaping and developing how health and social care services are delivered in each locality.
Each Healthwatch organisation will continue to work in their own geographical area, providing a local approach to community engagement.
The four organisations have come together so that they can provide seamless engagement work across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
