DOG of the week is back on the Globe website!

Each week the Dogs Trust provides details of our featured pooch as they search for a forever home.

The spotlight this week is on one-year-old Lenny, described as a fabulously friendly lurcher who adores meeting people.

A big lad, he loves playing with other dogs and would be more than happy to share his new home with a four-legged friend of a similar size so they can enjoy playing together.

He would also love to be at the heart of a family with children aged 14 or over.

He is a sensitive boy so he is looking for a loving, patient family who will let him take things at his own pace, but once confident about who he is with and where he’s going, he loves exploring and when he’s at home he loves playing with his toys.

Georgina Lowery, Dogs Trust Merseyside Manager, said: "Lenny is absolutely adorable and loves most things in life, particularly people and other dogs.

"The only thing he doesn’t like is being left home alone so until he is settled it would be ideal if someone could be around to help him get used to his forever home.

"He really is beautiful and will make a lovely addition to a family."
