POLICE negotiators have talked a man down from the roof of a jobcentre in Upton.
They were called to Jobcentre Plus in Arrowe Park Road at around 10am.
Specially trained negotiators were at the scene.
Merseyside Police confirmed that the man is now safely down from the roof and is currently being assessed.
According to social media, he had been protesting over benefits and roof tiles have been smashed.
Road closures were in place in Arrowe Park Road, around Arrowe Brook Road and traffic was diverted away from the area for public safety.
All roads have now reopened.
