MERSEYRAIL services have been suspended on a section of the Wirral line after a person was struck by a train.
The rail operator put out the message just before 9am on Friday (January 24), saying the incident happened in the Bebington area and that services between Hamilton Square and Hooton have been suspended.
Commuters travelling between Chester or Ellesmere Port to/from Liverpool have been advised a rail replacement bus service will be in operation shortly.
There is further disruption for commuters travelling along the Ellesmere Port line as a points failure between Ellesmere Port and Hooton has resulted in another, limited, rail replacement bus service being deployed.
