A man has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill after armed officers tackled an incident in Bidston
A MAN wielding a knife has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill.
A 30-year-old man was arrested in Bidston on the Wirral this afternoon.
A spokesman for Merseyside Police said: "At 2.30pm a call was received reporting a disturbance at a residence in Stonebridge Court involving a man allegedly in possession of a knife.
"Armed officers and a negotiator attended at the scene along with other emergency services. At around 6.50pm, a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, public nuisance and possession of a bladed article."
Police have thanked local residents for their patience while the incident was resolved.
