Christmas fair

AN Artisan community market Christmas fair will be held this Saturday at St Andrew's Church Hall in Graham Road, West Kirby from 10-3pm.

It promises amazing artisan stalls selling unique Christmas gifts, plus a Christmas Hamper raffle and children’s craft table.

NHS carols

THE 34th Cheshire & Merseyside NHS Carol Concert will be held at Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral tonight (Wednesday).

The choir will be accompanied by Formby Band.

Performance starts at 7.30pm. Admission is free.

WIRRAL Community Orchestra's Christmas concert Festive Selection Box will be staged at West Kirby United Reformed Church in West Kirby this Saturday, December 14.

Tickets, £5 at the door.

Accompanied children are admitted free.

KIND concert

A CHRISTMAS concert in of the charity Kids In Need & Distress will be held at Christ Church in Port Sunlight a week on Friday, December 20.

The show will feature the duo Tennese Waltz - Jimmy Rae and Sarah Lou Fletcher - with a selection of close harmony country classics; the Silver Tones singing group, Henry Ball, a singer/guitarist who does John Denver covers; and pianist Wendy Dickinson.

The concert starts at 7.30pm.

Leasowe WI

LEASOWE Women’s Institute, will meet at the URC in Wallasey Village the first Tuesday of the month from Tuesday, January 7. The meetings will start at 7.30pm.

Tales and tunes

A NIGHT of Tales and Tunes at Christmas Twilight will be held at St Bridget’s Church Centre in St Bridget’s Lane, West Kirby this Friday.

The event, organised by community group Transition Town West Kirby and St Bridget’s Church, will feature a gathering of storytellers from across Merseyside sharing festive stories, past and present.

Christmas tunes and carols will be led by St Bridget’s Band. Tickets are £5 on the door, including light refreshments.

Christmas Carol

A FOLK musical rendition of Charles Dickens' Christmas Carol will take place at West Kirby Arts Centre this Friday.

This unique retelling of will feature an array of folk instruments, old and new, with authentic musical arrangements, brims with warmth, wit and wonder.

It will be held in the arts centre at 29 Brookfield Gardens, West Kirby.

There is no parking available on Brookfield Gardens or Brookfield Road. The organisers recommend all visitors park at the Concourse.

WIRRAL Farmers market will be open at New Ferry Village Hall this Saturday from 9am-1pm.

Festive farmers

WEST Kirby Christmas Farmers' Market will be open a week on Saturday (December 21).

Held at St Andrew’s Church Hall in Graham Road, West Kirby it takes place from 9-1pm.

Organised by local volunteers, producers and community group Transition Town West Kirby, it will feature a host of local producers selling artisan foods.
