A 90-YEAR-OLD Ellesmere Port fundraiser is thanking friends and family for all their support – after she took part in an indoor skydive.

Beryl Davies took part in the charity skydive back in September to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, in gratitude for the successful treatment her daughter received following her diagnosis last year.

The fundraiser, organised by iFly in Manchester, was also completed to mark Beryl's 90th birthday, which she celebrated on November 10 this year.

In the accompanying photo, Beryl is shown taking part in the skydive, as proof to the many, many people who kindly sponsored her.

Beryl said the money raised was £500 for Breast Cancer Now and £200 which went to Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

She added: "Can I also take this opportunity to a say huge thank you to my family, relatives, friends and neighbours, some who travelled from America, the Midlands, and Wales, for being at my surprise party that my family arranged for me.

"I am still in shock and haven't read all of the cards I was given as the sentiments and words in them are so lovely, they make me cry, but I will get through them eventually."
