THREE lovely lurchers are looking for their forever homes.

Staff at Dogs Trust Merseyside are hoping to inspire local dog lovers to swap shopping for adopting this Black Friday.

Eight-year-old Aggie is the oldest of the three who is looking for a forever family including three-year-old Nessie and one-year-old long-legged Lenny.

Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, Georgina Lowery, told the Globe: "These three truly are black beauties who deserve the best in life.

"They are all quite different in terms of their personalities and what they want out of life but what they all have in common is the need to be surrounded by love and cared for at the heart of a family.

“They can all live with teenagers so we’re hoping there are some fun-loving families out there who would love to welcome one of these long-legged Lurchers into their homes very soon.”

Wirral Globe:

Aggie was found tied up without food or water

Aggie was very nervous when she first arrived at Dogs Trust Merseyside as she had been found tied up with other dogs without food or water.

But life has now changed for the better as she is getting the love and care she needs. Aggie is now starting to enjoy life and learning how to play.

Nessie was also quite anxious initially but has come on in leaps and bounds and now loves heading out on adventures and playing with her toys.

Whereas Aggie will need to live with another dog so she can follow in their paw-prints, Nessie would like to be the only dog in the home but can live with children aged 14 and over.

Last but not least, young Lenny is a sensitive soul who can be a little overwhelmed by the world, but he loves people and gets very excited whenever he has the chance to make new two-legged friends.

He is looking for an active family who enjoy getting out and about as much as he does.

Three-year-old Nessie is in need of a new loving home

Georgina added: “Lenny is still only young so it’d be great for him to do further training with his new owners and he loves his food so he will try anything for a tasty treat!

"He doesn’t like to be left home alone and could live with another dog but he is quite playful and excitable so it’d need to be a dog that can match his love of life.

“This Friday we really hope dog lovers choose to avoid the high street and if they are ready to welcome a dog into their life they visit us and give one of these dogs a second chance at happiness.”
