A 10-year-old boy was taken to hospital after falling on Thurstaston beach.
Wirral Coastguard Officers were called at around 12.20pm on Saturday, November 23 following reports a boy had fallen and was believed to have suffered a broken ankle.
RNLI Hoylake hovercraft was out on an exercise in the area and was also flagged down by a member of the public who was also on the beach.
The hovercraft arrived on scene and crews then issued pain relief to the boy.
He was then placed into a basket stretcher and put in the hovercraft to be moved to the slipway near to Dee Sailing club where paramedics were waiting.
The boy was then taken to hospital for more treatment.
