FANS of dinosaurs rejoice as Teach Rex will be returning to Thornton Hall Hotel for a one-off Christmas special.

After selling-out their Thornton Hough Halloween shows, Wirral Primary School teachers Sam and Joe will be spreading festive joy with their popular live family entertainment dino-show on December 23.

This Christmas special will see three life-like dinosaur puppets take part in a 45 minute show complete with effects and music.

Once the educational part is over, the event is followed by a 'Dino Disco' and a dinosaur meet and greet.

For this special there will be merchandise stalls, Christmas music, decorations and festive refreshments.

Co-founder Joe told the Globe: “Every time we come home to Thornton Hall, we receive such an amazing reception from Wirral locals - we absolutely love it.

"We have a magical show planned for our Christmas special, we know it won’t disappoint!"

The pair have visited more than 200 schools and educated more than 10,000 children and have worked with the likes of the BBC and Rainforest cafe in London.

On December 23 there will be two shows, one at 10am to 12pm and another at 1pm to 3pm.

Tickets start at £7.50 and are available via https://www.ticketquarter.co.uk/Online/teach-rex-christmas-special

We are offering two lucky families the chance of winning a family ticket, merchandise, drinks & snacks plus front row seats to either times of the Christmas special.

To be in with a chance of winning, head over to the competition post on our Wirral Globe Facebook Page and like Teach Rex on Facebook.

Usual Newsquest rules apply.

Deadline for entries is Monday, December 9.
