THE Light Up A Life switch-on for Wirral Hospice St John takes place on Sunday, December 8.

Ten thousand lights will be switched on during the emotional Globe-backed ceremony in the hospice gardens, which starts at 5.30pm.

Pushing the button will be Tracie Powell, whose husband Allan passed away last year, after a brave battle with bowel cancer.

Charities fair

A Charities Fair is being held at St. Thomas’ Church in Seaview Road, Liscard this Saturday from 11am to 2pm.

Exhibitors from nine charities - RNLI (Lifeboats), Wallasey Lions, Rotary Club of Wallasey, Guide Dogs, Wirral Ark, Wirral Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted, Wallasey Ladybirds, MAC, and charities supported by the Bronze Club, Wallasey - will be there on day.

Pre-loved toys

A COFFEE Morning with preloved Toys and Games sale takes place this Saturday at St Paul and St Luke’s Church in Old Chester Road, Rock Ferry from 10am-midday.

Artisan market

Artisan Community Market Christmas Fairs will be held this Saturday (November 9) and Saturday December 14 at St Andrew’s Church Hall in West Kirby from 10-3pm.

Mince pies and mulled wine will be served to thank customers for supporting talented local Artisans.

Classics concert

WIRRAL Symphony Orchestra will perform at Hope Church in Station Road, Hoylake this Saturday.

Jonathan Small will conduct Berlioz’ Overture ‘Le ‘Corsaire, and Elgar’s Cello Concerto & Shostakovitch’s 10th Symphony during the performance, which starts at 7.30pm.

A GUIDE Dogs charity coffee morning will be held at St Albans Parish Hall in Liscard a week on Saturday, November 16 from 10am - midday.

Pop-up photo exhibit

HESWALL Photographic Society is holding a pop-up exhibition and sale of prints later this month.

Taking place on Saturday, November 23 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Heswall, entrance on Telegraph Road, it will run from 10am until 3pm and is free to enter.
