A WIRRAL nursery has been rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted following a recent inspection.

Busy Bees Wirral in Thurstaston is one of fewer than 10 per cent of early years settings to hold the rating in the UK.

All individual areas of care were rated as 'Outstanding', including meeting the needs of the range of children who attend, contributing to the well-being of the children, and the effectiveness of the leadership and management.

The Ofsted inspector praised the nursery's 'enthusiasm and passion', and said as a result: "all children are provided with a high-quality environment that superbly ignites their desire to learn."

Ofsted also recognised the staff team at the nursery for being 'inspiring'.

The inspector went on to say "Managers' expectations are communicated with enthusiasm and passion."

The report highlighted the nursery's efforts to give children a head start in life, noting that: "Older children are ready to move to school.

"They demonstrate superb skills that will support them to adapt and engage meaningfully in their future learning."

Kate Hayward, nursery manager at Busy Bees Wirral Thurstaston, said: "I'm so proud of my team. The outstanding rating reflects the hard work of each member of our team.

"We all work tirelessly to provide the children in our care with the best start in life and we are thrilled to have received this kind of recognition from Ofsted.

"Our Forest School is an amazing experience for our children, exploring the world around us in our natural environment.

"Well Done team Daisy and Jake, Wirral Thurstaston By Busy Bees."
