A CHOIR featuring young singers from Birkenhead High School will perform at next month's Wirral Bazaar in aid of North West Cancer Research.

The Luminelles will perform festive classics during the Wirral Bazaar, now in its 29th year, taking place in the Walled Garden Marquee at Thornton Manor on Tuesday November 5 and Wednesday November 6.

The choir has recently performed at the Liverpool Echo Arena for BBC Worldwide and the city's Anglican Cathedral to a sell-out audience of over 1,000 people.

Returning choirs SingMe Mersey, Off Pitch and Birkenhead School Choir will also lend their voices to the event, as well as resident saxophonist, Dick Neal.

The Bazaar brings together carefully selected stalls from across the country, offering a range of unique Christmas gifts.

Items available will include candles and home fragrances, men’s and ladies' clothing, children's toys and a variety of food and drink.

Last year's Bazaar attracted more than 3,500 visitors and raised £41,000 for North West Cancer Research, which will support funding for life-saving cancer research here in the North West.

Shoppers will have the unique opportunity to donate to NWCR whilst doing their Christmas shopping, as all stallholders give 10% of their takings to the charity.

The £5 entry fee and all profits from catering will also go directly to NWCR.

The Bazaar is organised by a small but dedicated volunteer committee, their wonderful army of friends and family, and supported by corporate sponsor The Mitchell Group, whose long-term support has ensured the event's continued success.

Majestic, West Kirby will once again offer support and will provide prosecco and red and white wine on the Tuesday evening.

This year's Wirral Bazaar will take place in the Walled Garden Marquee at Thornton Manor on Tuesday November 5 from 2pm-8.30pm and Wednesday November 6 from 9.30am-3pm.
