I READ with interest the report in this week's Globe that a local primary school has appointed a "four-legged member of staff" – a cockapoo called Mabel.
My four-year-old daughter was attacked and bitten by a cockapoo while walking in a park.
When questioned by police, the owner stated: "she's normally a wellbehaved dog, she's never done anything like that before."
That’s the problem with dog attacks – they often occur without warning.
NHS reports more than 7,000 admissions every year due to dog bite, including several fatalities, with the majority of victims aged under ten.
