SIR - What a disgusting display of racism from some of the Bulgarian crowd at Monday's match against England. I refuse to call them football fans as they are clearly not. When will people realise that we are all one race - the human race, created to be different, equal, mutually supportive and respectful.

Having been on the receiving end of racial prejudice because my white British mum fell in love with and married a white man from a different country, I despair when I hear of subtle or blatant racism. I know how scarring it can be. My antidote to racism is to have good friends from several different ethnic backgrounds. And my life is richer because of them.
