A CHASE ended with the arrest of two men in Runcorn earlier this morning.
At around 11pm on Thursday 10 officers attempted to arrest two wanted men in Egerton Street, Runcorn.
One of the men, a 27-year-old from Runcorn, was arrested at the scene and is currently in custody being questioned by officers.
A second man initially fled from police so a search was carried out in the local area, which included support from a police helicopter.
Liam Watts, who was wanted for failing to appear at court, was subsequently arrested in an underpass on Greenway Road in the early hours of this morning (Friday, October 11).
The 26-year-old, of Lambsickle Lane, Runcorn, was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Preston Crown Court today.
