POLICE have issued a new picture in a bid to find a missing 76-year-old man with dementia.
A joint operation between Cheshire Police, HM Coastguard and other emergency services was launched to trace Thomas Cook on Tuesday, October 8.
Mr Cook, from Kensington in Liverpool, was last seen at around 3pm on Monday, October 7 wearing a grey Nike tracksuit, walking boots, a black body warmer and black glasses.
He is white, around 5ft 8in of medium build with grey short hair and has a Liverpool accent.
Mr Cook, who suffers from dementia, is known to visit New Brighton.
A large-scale search operation was in place along the River Mersey and near Runcorn and Garston following reports that an elderly man was stuck in the area.
Police are also appealing for anyone who may have seen someone that resembles Mr Cook, or knows where he is to contact Merseyside Police via social media @MerPolCC, call 101 or in an emergency call 999.
