TO celebrate what would have been John Lennon's 79th birthday The Beatles Story are giving fans the chance to win a free visit.

Fans will be able to receive free entry if their name contains either 'John', 'Winston' or 'Lennon' all day on October 9.

Born on October 9, 1940, the number 9 seemed to become a lucky number for the music legend.

The Beatles performed at the Cavern Club for the first time on February 9, they signed a recording contract with EMI on May 9, made their Ed Sullivan Show debut on February 9 and even his son Sean Ono Lennon was born on October 9.

Visitors will be able to redeem the special offer at the admissions desk of The Beatles Story if they present a valid photo I.D - you and cannot pre-book.

Guests will also receive a free souvenir on arrival.

Fans of John Lennon will be interested to find that the exhibition features John’s spectacles and Jacket, both worn by the musician during his Imagine video.

It also features ‘John Lennon’s last piano’ which was played by John at Record Plant Studios, New York City just hours before he was tragically shot and killed in 1980.

The Beatles Story is based at Britannia Vaults, Albert Dock, Liverpool L3 4AD.
