The closures are due to the deconstruction of the Churchill Way flyover which connects Lime Street to Dale Street and Tithebarn Street.
Dale Street from Byrom Street to Crosshall Street will be fully closed from Friday, October 4 until Monday, October 14.
The works to remove three footbridges, which sit underneath the two flyovers, used to access Liverpool John Moore's University Byrom Street campus began on September 2.
Once removed the focus will then swing to the removal of the flyovers which are more than 240m in length each.
